# Launch ChromeVox
# Launch keystroke help menu with Search + .
As a new user, I turned to this menu to try to get more keystroke reminders but I found it very confusing to navigate. I feel this should allow for different keystrokes to accommodate new learners. Examples of confusing areas:
Tabbing never brings you into the actual menus and doesn't allow you to navigate between the tabs at the top of the menu. It cycles between the ChromeVox spoken word panel, settings, and the x button.
Expected: I can tab between Jump, Speech, Tabs, etc.
After tabbing, if I then press the right arrow key, it's a keyboard trap - it alternates between "menu" and "jump" and I can't arrow anywhere else. I can backwards linear navigate by holding down search + left arrow but search + right arrow does nothing. -- Note that I can only reproduce this sometimes, so there must be a keystroke interaction I'm missing in the middle?
Expected: pressing the right arrow key always works and doesn't get caught in a trap
There's a mismatch between navigation keystrokes used here and in other parts of the UI, but no introduction on using them, I had to discover them.
Left and right arrows navigate between tabs - I found this to be unusual and expected tabs instead.
Search + left and right navigates up and down individual items within each tab and reads the description and keystroke. However, search + up and down keys just reads the description but not the keystroke. I feel like this isn't articulated in the documentation:
http://www.chromevox.com/27/keyboard_shortcuts.html
"Press ChromeVox + Period and use the up and down arrow keys to navigate or begin typing the command you are looking for."
