Steps to reproduce:
(1)enable new interface with URL on bottom (Home experiment)
(2)open Chrome without opened pages
(3)scroll up Home interface page - it's displayed with Google logo on top, which is replaced immediately by doodle
(4)click on doodle

Expected result:

Opening doodle search in new tab?

Actual result:

doodle is replaced by empty white space, maybe because we don't support animation?

Note: I don't know what experiment enables displaying Google logo on top of interface page (I was suspecting Chrome Home Doodle, but I see it in my Chrome Stable and not in the Chrome Canary, which is affected)
