That's probably just due to the &continue= value in the URL making it so that you are essentially signing in to the sign-in page. It is the legitimate accounts.google.com domain and is secured with HTTPS, so your username and password shouldn't be stolen just by entering them into that page.

Able to reproduce this issue on latest stable 64.0.3282.140 and on latest canary 66.0.3336.5 using Windows 10,Mac 10.13.3 and Ubuntu 14.04. Issue is seen in Firefox. Issue is seen from M60. Hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking as Untriaged. Thanks!

This has nothing to do with Chrome. The problem is caused by the fact that the URL causes it to basically be signing-in to the sign-in page. |
