Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open the Elements tab in dev tools 2. in the dom pane, try to search for 'Back' What is the expected behavior? I want it to only match 'Back' - ie be case sensitive What went wrong? It matches 'back' too, for which there are many more references. Did this work before? Yes 15.0.874.15 Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: This is relevant (that's where I got the latest version it worked): https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=96756&can=1&q=devtool%20search%20case&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Stars%20ReleaseBlock%20Component%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified IMO, it should be possible to specify case - it is extremely useful in big files. Some editors have a feature called 'smartcase'[1], where the word is not case sensitive until the user types a mixed case search - ie 'back' will match both 'Back' and 'back', but 'Back' will only match 'Back'. That would be my preference. An alternative would be to make it a regex, or provide a checkbox for case sensitivity (or insensitivity). I see there is a 'Aa' icon to do that in the 'Sources' tab, so I guess that would make sense. [1] see 'smartcase' in http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Searching
