Chrome Version: 65.0.3322.0
Split from Issue 787532 .
Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Prepare a certain amount of files (e.g. 1MB) in Downloads.
(2) Select all and right-click then choose "Zip selection". See [Archive.zip] is created.
(3) Right-click [Archive.zip] and choose "Zip selection". See [Archive (1).zip] created.
(4) Right-click [Archive (1).zip] and choose "Zip selection". See [Archive (2).zip] created.
(5) Open [Archive (2).zip]. See it's mounted as volume and [Archive (1).zip] is inside.
(6) Open [Archive (1).zip] in the previous step. See it's mounted as volume and [Archive.zip] is inside.
(7) Open [Archive.zip].
In other words, zip a zip file several times recursively, so as to make a nested zip file. Then open it recursively.
Expected Result:
Zip files opens smoothly at every stage.
Actual Result:
Steps 6 or 7 may become very slow.
"An opeartion is taking longer than expected. Do you want to abort it?"
notification message appears.
(You may repeat zipping the zip file like steps 3 and 4 more, if it's not enough.)
How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Can be reproduced on any device by increasing the nest level.
