Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open link in Gmail built-in browser on Android 2. Then click on button which contains link such as intent://twitter.com/zalmanua/#Intent;scheme=https;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end 3. Link doesn't work. It writes "Navigation is blocked" What is the expected behavior? When we click on link such as intent://twitter.com/zalmanua/#Intent;scheme=https;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end It asks us which app we want to open this link. What went wrong? Redirect to Chrome or any other apps doesn't work Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 63.0.3239.111 Channel: stable OS Version: 5.0.1 Flash Version:

intent: URLs aren't typically supposed to work from web content, and whether any particular type of intent link is supported by an app is down to the app in question. Unless the behaviour here has changed as the result of a webview update, then this almost certainly isn't a bug. Gmail is likely disallowing this on purpose; it's not a good idea to allow intent: URIs to be invoked by arbitrary third party content. |
