Tested this issue on Mac OS 10.12.6 on the latest Canary 65.0.3324.0 and equivalent Dev build.

On the previous chrome version, on opening DevTools and clicking on the colour picker, the contrast ratio values are showing as Fails with value and a box.
But on the latest Canary build, the colour picker values are shown as attached in the screen shots in the original comment.

Attached are screen shots for reference.

Hence adding TE verified labels as the fix is working as intended.
