Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: You can see the issue here: http://output.jsbin.com/mujese 1. This happens *only* on OsX. Not on Windows. 2. Take a page with a css grid with a single input with a placeholder as a cell <div style=" grid-template-columns: 1fr; display: grid; grid-template-rows: 1fr; "> <input style="background-color: lightsalmon;" placeholder="type any character."> </div> 3. Click into the input cell. Type a single character. What is the expected behavior? You type in the input and the characters appear like normal What went wrong? The input instead collapses to a zero width. At this point you can only get it back to the initial width if you resize the page any amount (presumably to force a re-render). Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.2 Flash Version: This also works with textarea. The collapse seems to occur whenever the input goes from zero characters (and the placeholder is visible) to one or more characters. The collapse *also* occurs when the input has no characters (placeholder visible) and the cursor is in the input, and you click outside of the input. As far as my testing has shown, if you don't have a placeholder then everything seems to work Obviously really really annoying for users.
