Links from external applications like IntelliJ IDEA, Discord, and Spotify don't open in Chrome

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go into an external program like Discord or Spotify
2. Click on an external link

What is the expected behavior?
Link should open up to the correct location.

What went wrong?
The link doesn't open in Chrome. It just creates a new window with a blank tab.

Did this work before? Yes Not sure tbh, I think I updated Chrome the other day.

I have received an update today and the problem seems to have fixed itself. But if it occurs again, I will report it.
