Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to any website 2. Remove url 3. attempt to zoom in on page To understand the difference repeat on the same website but don't do step 2. What is the expected behavior? there appears a box in the top right of the webpage that will define the current zoom of the web page and an option to return back to the default zoom. What went wrong? the box expected isn't present. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: If it would be helpful I can put together a few images demonstrating this and upload them to imgur. Thanks

Interesting. As near as I can tell, the zoom magnification doesn't show whenever the omnibox is being edited. (The omnibox can be blank--i.e., no URL--or have some text in it. As long as it's not the original text showing the name of the URL, the magnification information doesn't appear.) Tentatively giving to mcnee@, who seems to be doing some zoom work lately.

I still see the zoom bubble pop up upon zooming. It's just the icon in the omnibox that doesn't appear. However, all the icons on the right side of the omnibox are hidden upon editing, so that would seem intentional and not zoom bubble specific.

Oh, so on ToT, the zoom bubble still pops up, but on 63.0.3239.132 it doesn't. So it looks like this has already been fixed.

Closing per comment #5. jon.seton@, it looks like the fix is still rolling out.
