Consider reducing audio buffer size when using ALSA

Project Member Reported by rtoy@chromium.org, Jan 10 2018

Issue description

From issue 795318 c#12 and c#13. Perhaps it's possible to reduce the default size from 2048 to something smaller. 128 is probably too small, but maybe 512 like it is when pulse audio is used.

This would need to poll the ALSA version to make that call. Our drive isn't that well optimized either though.

No plans to work on this, the ALSA path is unmaintained.
