Unable to set as default browser

Reported by dima.mur...@gmail.com, Jan 10 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.108 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
0. I have Arch Linux with KDE Plasma 5.11 installed
1. Install Chrome from aur (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/google-chrome/)
2. Run Chrome
3. Chrome offers set itself as default browser, agree

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome will not offer set itself as default browser on next launches

What went wrong?
Chrome offers set itself as default browser on next launches

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 63.0.3239.84 Channel: n/a
OS Version: Arch Linux 4.14.4-2
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 28.0 r0

Also after (3) Chrome adds line `text/html=kfmclient_html.desktop` to ~/.config/mimiapps.list, but kfmclient_html.desktop is Konqueror browser, not Chrome

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 63.0.3239.84 using Ubuntu 14.04.

In Ubuntu 14.04, KDE Plasma installed 63.0.3239.84 and latest stable 64.0.3282.186 and set Chrome as default browser, closed chrome and re-opened again -- even now it is set as default browser.

As TE team doesn't have Arch linux machine to check this issue, could someone from dev team please have a look at this issue.
Works for me with Fedora 27, KDE Plasma 5.11.5 and the official Google Chrome Beta RPM.

% cat ~/.config/mimeapps.list
[Default Applications]
text/html=google-chrome-beta.desktop
x-scheme-handler/http=google-chrome-beta.desktop
x-scheme-handler/https=google-chrome-beta.desktop
x-scheme-handler/about=google-chrome-beta.desktop
x-scheme-handler/unknown=google-chrome-beta.desktop

`kcmshell5 filetype` shows Google Chrome Beta is the default viewer for "text/html" files, and `kcmshell5 componentchooser`'s Web Browser is set to "in an application based on the contents of the URL".
