Microsoft Webcam 3000: NotReadable error upon choosing the camera and mic from same device [getUserMedia] |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 10176.41.0 / 64.0.3282.79 OS: Chrome OS What steps will reproduce the problem? Precondition: have at least two microphones and two cameras attached to the device under test. [I used Microsoft Life Cam HD-3000 Logitech Webcam C930e] Choose Microsoft camera under Chorme://settings/content/camera 1. Browse to https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/source/ 2. Open the javascript console (alt+cmd+j or ctr+shift+j) and watch for any errors 3. Select each audio input source, verify that you can hear audio from that source (e.g. scratch that specific microphone) 4. Select each video source, verify that you see video from each source Microsoft camera works fine until both microphone and camera are set the same device (Microsoft device) 5. Choose Audio input source and Video source as : Microsoft Webcam 3000 What is the expected result? Video and Audio from the camera works clearly. No hissy sound or glitches in the video displayed. What happens instead? No video nor hear anything. Other useful information: This happens in all tested chrome book (Pit, Minnie, Falco, Yuna). Just play around with changing different mic and camera. When they both are microsoft this is happening.

This is observed in Blaze device. Blacking out is not always but only when choosing camera and mice from Microsoft device. 10176.41.0 / 64.0.3282.79 Working scenarios: scenario 1: If built in mic is chosen and video resource from microsoft camera works fine. scenario 2: Same as when microsoft mic is chosen and some other video source is chosen. |
