Gmail standard view will not load with strict site isolation enabled

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load gmail standard view in current version of Chrome with strict site isolation enabled
2.

What is the expected result?
 Page does not load

What happens instead of that?

This may be a duplicate of  issue 799312 .  Can you paste the Gmail URL you're viewing when it doesn't finish loading?  And are you getting to it via the icon on chrome://apps?

We suspect a workaround is visiting https://mail.google.com, and that the problem may be resolved in Chrome 64.
