Notifications from Twitter work fine, Gmail only every now and then IF Gmail web page is open. Yahoo Mail gets nothing and Facebook only random.

This was on builds 62.xxxx, 63.xxxx and now beta 64.xxxx

Comment 4 by gmp...@gmail.com, Jan 13 2018

Occurring on my Acer C771T chromebook as well. Happens on both Version 63.0.3239.116 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Version 63.0.3239.140 (Official Build) (64-bit). Just submitted report with screenshot including this issue #; ReportBug just after that reported 70167811.

Comment 5 by tywi...@gmail.com, Jan 13 2018

I can confirm this on ASUS Flip C302 on both 63.0.3239.116 and 63.0.3239.140, both on stable channel.
Can confirm it too, since Chrome OS 63 hits stable on a Samsung Chromebook, a HP 14 (Haswell) and the Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571.

I don't know if this is related but Facebook Messenger doesn't pop up any notifications despite there having a new notification for me. I can see Messenger.com notifications enabled in the list.

It seems like this was fixed with M64.

Tetsui-san found some repro step and kindly take a look.
Is this related to https://crbug.com/814495 "Notifications from web apps don't appear"?
Status: Archived (was: Assigned)
The report is from M63 so let me archive this and track the bug in https://crbug.com/814495
Just to add: notification-icons show always but if the device enters sleep mode, once you wake it up notification-pop-ups nevermore appear until reboot.
