WebVR fails if re-entered from Chrome VR browser

Chrome Version: 64.3282.81
OS: Android N
Device: Pixel
VRCore: 1.12.177372015

This is 100% reproducible

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to https://webvr.info/samples/
(2) place device in headset to start VR browsing
(3) Select the "03 - VR Presentation link
(4) Click on the Enter VR button -> WebVR starts
(5) Press app button on controller toexit WebVR back to VR browsing
(6) Click on Enter VR button again to re-enter WebVR.

What is the expected result? WebVR succeeds the 2nd time

What happens instead? WebVR fails. See screenshot.

I've filed  Issue 800024  to track adding a test for this once the issue is fixed.

https://crrev.com/526934 should fix this, I had used roughly this sequence in manual testing. According to omahaproxy it isn't yet available in a canary even though it was merged on Jan 4.
