Unable to edit iCloud Notes from Pixelbook

Reported by richard....@gmail.com, Jan 7 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10032.75.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.116 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10032.75.0 (Official Build) stable-channel eve

Example URL:
https://www.icloud.com/

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. From Chrome on Pixelbook go to https://www.icloud.com/
2. Log in to your iCloud account
3. Go to Notes
4. Try to edit an existing Note

What is the expected behavior?
You should be able to edit an existing Note. I have tried similar tasks when accessing my iCloud account from browsers on Windows 10 and from Ubuntu. In both cases I was able to edit an existing Note stored in my iCloud account.

What went wrong?
The system doesn't respond when you try to edit an existing Note. It doesn't give an error or warning message; it just doesn't let you edit an existing Note

Does it occur on multiple sites: No

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? No
In other browsers I have tried in chromeOS I have gotten a message saying that I can't even connect to iCloud because that browser is not supported.

Chrome version: 63.0.3239.116 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10032.75.0
Flash Version:

In order to duplicate this bug, the software engineer doing the investigation would have to have an iCloud account and have created Notes in iCloud using a Mac or an iOS device.

Interestingly, I just tried editing one of my iCloud Notes from a Samsung 3 Chromebook, and I was able to do so, by using the trackpad to select the Note and to click on the position in the Note at which I wanted to insert some text. That all worked. I am not able to do the same thing using the Pixelbook; there is no response.

I can reproduce this bug on 64.0.3282.101 on a pixelbook.

I'm assuming it is something related to the special input modes of this Chromebook. I can't reproduce it on linux.

Over to Navid to triage.
chrishtr@ I just tried with 65.0.3310.0 and I was able to edit things just fine. Did you have any special setup for this? Did you use pen for example?
No I did not have any special setup when trying to edit iCloud Notes. I didn’t use the pen.
