Selecting the inner text of a script tag corrupts the text between the brackets of the tag

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.108 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Go to a webpage 
2.Open developer tools
3.Highlight the text within a script tag

What is the expected behavior?
It wouldn't corrupt the text

What went wrong?
Selecting the inner text of a script tag corrupts the text between the brackets of the tag

Did this work before? N/A

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 63.0.3239.108 using windows10 with steps mentioned below.

1. Launched chrome and navigated to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=799131
2. Opened devtools, In elements tab searched for script tag and selected the inner text and didn't observe any overlapping of text. Attaching screencast for reference.

@Reporter : Could you please check the screencast and let us know if we miss anything from the steps. Also could you please check the issue by restoring devtools to default and reload and check the issue. And also could you please provide URL on which you are seeing this issue. This info will help us in further triaging of the issue.
