Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.108 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download attached file, unzip and open index.html 2. Press the "reload page" link repeatedly What is the expected behavior? The same experience as with the other browsers, no visible flicker should occur for this test case. What went wrong? The red background behind the iframe often flashes through the iframe. This never happens in Edge/IE11/Firefox for the same test case. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 63.0.3239.108 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.6, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #63.0.3239.108 and latest canary #65.0.3312.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M50 old builds. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

This is unavoidable because iframe loading takes some time, and browsers want to paint the container page even before iframe loading.

I understand that there is nothing to done the first time an iframe is loaded. However, shouldn't the browsers be able to retain the current frame until the the new content is loaded when you navigate within the iframe? If you do the same steps, but open iframe.html instead, you will se that the text never flickers in that case. |
