Note, this has been working for sometime. I occasionally build from source and this problem started showing itself for the past three builds.

I am including my google credentials in my args.gn which has worked in the past.

cat > out/Default/args.gn << EOF
google_api_key="xxxxxxxx"
google_default_client_id="xxxxxxxx"
google_default_client_secret="xxxxxxxx"
use_jumbo_build=true
enable_nacl=false
symbol_level=0
remove_webcore_debug_symbols=true
linux_use_bundled_binutils=true
use_debug_fission=true
is_clang=true
treat_warnings_as_errors=false
is_debug=false
EOF

Hi Samuel, thank you for reporting,
can you also include screenshot for chrome://signin-internals/ and chrome://sync-internals?

I'm unable to reproduce on an official build. OP could you bisect the issue?
I am including the requested screenshots, the signin-internals is showing invalid credentials; however, I went through the same steps and credentials using Version 64.0.3282.39 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) and it worked correctly. I had tried a few times on Chromium. Interesting enough, it looks like I might be signed in on the settings page but the sync reports an error

I did another build and this still doesn't work

Version 66.0.3346.0 (Developer Build) custom (64-bit)

Because Chromium login is broken I have no alternative to but to use Chrome, hopefully this bug will be eventually fixed in the near future
