Magic window content looks squished and WebVR presentation cannot be re-entered

Chrome Version:	64.0.3282.67
VrCore:	1.12.177372015
OS: Android N
Device: Galaxy S8+

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to webvr.info/samples/03-vr-presentation.html
(2) Press enter VR button and view presentation in headset
(3) Remove device from headset and tap x button to exit WebVR presentation.
Issue occurs here with Magic window content looking squished.
(4) press enter VR button again and view presentation in headset.
Issue occurs here where WebVR presentation hangs.

What is the expected result? Magic window content looks correct. WebVR presentation can be re-entered

What happens instead? Magic window content is squished. See screenshots. WebVR presentation hangs upon re-entry. Shows a spinner and exit prompt. See screenshot.

Another set of reproduction steps:
1. go to webvr.info/samples/03-vr-presentation.html
=> WebVR content is displayed in Magic window
2. Orient device in portrait mode
3. Tap Android Home button
=> Android Home screen is displayed
4. Orient device in landscape mode
5. Tap recent apps button in Android system menu and select Chrome
=> Chrome is opened, webvr presentation is squished
