I have 0 opened tabs, and yet there are 18 "Google Chrome Helper" processes running.
Is this WAI?

OS: macOS 10.12.6
Chrome: M63.0.3239.84

Those could be extensions. Try opening a chrome task manager and taking a screenshot of that.

This seems to be it.
Since I have 3 profiles, some extensions are loaded in 3 different processes.
I would have expected the process of an extension to be killed if the profile it is attached to is not used anymore (which was the case when I had 0 tabs opened).

Also, it would be a great thing to change the process' name to something more descriptive, e.g. "Google Chrome Extension".

This regression has been open for half a year. It's not very actionable and the regression has been in all Chrome user's hands for months.
