Reported by mamun4...@gmail.com, Jan 1 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3309.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open any WebVR examples: https://webvr.info/samples/03-vr-presentation.html or https://threejs.org/examples/?q=webvr#webvr_vive_dragging
2. Press "Enter VR" button

What is the expected behavior?
Current scene should have been visible in the vr headset.

What went wrong?
Presentation request was denied & console error was shown.
"Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: Presentation request was denied."

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 65.0.3309.0 Channel: canary
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

I am using htc vive with steamVR app. It is working fine in Firefox & also it was working fine in the experimental chromium build for WebVR from https://webvr.info/

I forgot to mention that canary is detecting & tracking the VR device successfully. It is not letting me present in hmd only.

ET Team doesn't have VR headset to check this issue. Could someone from MTV team take a look into this.

Thanks!
It is working for me on what appears to be the same setup.
Clearly from the 5 stars not working for several others.

It might be helpful to the team if you added more detail such as (for me)
SteamVR build 5 Dec 2917, 1512445023
Nividia 1080, driver 388.71

I have tried with the stable version of the steamVR also. As it was not working i switched to the beta version to check it recently.

Desktop VR headsets are only supported behind a flag in Chrome 65.

+cc billorr to confirm.
Is this issue closed? I have already enabled all the flag. Chrome is detecting the vive & also the camera in the scene also move with the vive. The problem occurs when i press "ENTER VR". It denies me from entering into presentation mode. But is firefox it is working.

Windows 7 is not currently supported. The way we send textures cross-process isn't implemented on Windows 7.
