Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstal_13N or other Wiki page with picture 2. click on the tram picture - it's opened in separate layout (OK) 3. refresh picture page and during refresh press "x" in right top corner - picture page is closed (OK), but later opened again (not OK) 4. press back button - picture page is opened again (not OK) What is the expected behavior? After pressing "x" nothing is added to the history and nothing more is done What went wrong? Refresh operation is not terminated Did this work before? Tested on Chrome Canary #65.0.3306.0 on SM-J710F Android 7.0.0 Build/NRD90M and not able to reproduce the issue by following the below steps: 1. Launch the Chrome browser. 2. Navigate to the URL: https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstal_13N 3. Tap on the tram image displayed. 4. Refresh the page and during loading of page, tap on 'x' button displayed on the right top of the screen. 5. Tap on the device back button. 6. Observed that user is redirected back to the earlier page. marcin@ -- Is the issue consistently reproduced. Could you please share the screen cast of the issue and let us know if we have missed anything. It would help us in reproducing and further triaging the issue. Attached the screencast for reference. Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed since Chrome #59.0.3030.0 Steps Followed: 1. Launched the Chrome Browser. 2. Navigate to the URL: https://pl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstal_13N 3. Tap on the tram image displayed. 4. Pull down the page to Refresh the page and during loading of page, tap on 'x' button displayed on the right top of the screen. 5. Observed that same image is displayed again. Chrome versions tested: 59.0.3030.0, 63.0.3239.111(Stable), 65.0.3309.0(Canary) OS: Android 8 Android Devices: Pixel 2 This seems to be a Non-Regression issue as same behavior is seen since M59. Untriaged for further input's on this issue. Please navigate to below link for log's and video-- go/chrome-androidlogs/797970 Note: 1. This issue is not observed in Desktop. 2. Tapping on the back button(from step-5) redirected to the earlier screen.

This is related to page navigation more-so than history. Refreshing then immediately tapping the 'x' button on an image seems like a fairly uncommon flow, and the failure condition isn't so bad (re-tap the 'x' button to close the image). |
