Open a web page that contains a narrow no-break space ` `, for example https://borisschapira.com/2005/01/test-typo/, every time a french quote is used. 2. Edit HTML in DevTools What is the expected behavior? The HTML code displayed must be faithful to the content of the node. What went wrong? narrow no-break space are replaced by spaces. Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.6, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #63.0.3239.84 and latest canary #65.0.3306.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M50 old builds. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

I think this is working as intended. The html panel doesn't show the source code used to generate the HTML, but the HTML representation of the nodes currently in the DOM. The spaces are still there, they just look like spaces. You can see the same behavior by evaluating someNode.outerHTML. |
