autotest: are the .WARNING, .ERROR, and .INFO logs useful? |
||||||
Issue descriptionI may have looked at logs other than the .DEBUG logs briefly when I started sheriffing, but on average it never paid, because I had to consult the .DEBUG log most of the times. I am wondering if others find them useful, and whether we shouldn't just get rid of them.

I don't think that all of these levels are useful and didn't include them in Tast. See https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/platform/tast/+/HEAD/docs/design_principles.md#test-results-should-be-easy-to-interpret and also the first point at https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/platform/tast/+/HEAD/docs/design_principles.md#The-test-system-should-have-opinions-about-the-right-way-to-write-tests.
