Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.94 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Will Chrome respect the system setting for Double Click interval? What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? It seems Chrome has its own double click interval, so that override the system setting for Double Click interval(via SetDoubleClickTime on Windows), I don't know why Chrome work like this, but the mechanism breaks the consistency for my application to work on Chrome and other applications, which use Double Click to select word under cursor then cancel the selection via another click in any application. The Double Click interval inconsistency often cause double click on web pages becomes a triple click , which caused the whole paragraph being selected, annoying ! Will Chrome respect the system setting for Double Click interval? Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 62.0.3202.94 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0

According to the source code Chrome reads the double-click time from OS: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/ui/events/blink/web_input_event_builders_win.cc?l=161&rcl=99ab0e0a3bfbaeed167be404db5fcb070bfc82a4

I don't know if Chrome has its own DoubleClickTime or not https://cs.chromium.org/search/?q=SetDoubleClickTime&type=cs

I can't reproduce the bug. In my tests Chrome respects the OS setting (Windows 7), so the issue you experience must be caused by an extension you have or it's specific to some sites which use their own logic to determine double-clicks. Try to narrow it down by testing in 1) a new browser profile without extensions or in an incognito window without extensions, and 2) different sites. >I don't know if Chrome has its own DoubleClickTime or not The results show only standard library definitions, but not usages thereof, so Chrome doesn't override the system setting.
