WebGL crashes occasionally in MacOS High Sierra

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
We have been unable to identify an obvious pattern with this issue, other than it happens on MacOS High Sierra machines with nvidia chipsets.

1. Find Macbook with an nvidia chipset and High Sierra (eg Geforce 750m) 
2. Open Chrome and open an Onshape doc (e.g., https://cad.onshape.com/documents/c86d74df1abc406caa125cbf/w/63062157fd1d4eb0ab56c51e/e/d536d165b35b409b812df580 )
3. After an indeterminate amount of time, the "Rats WebGL hit a snag" notification will appear, necessitating a reload

What is the expected behavior?
WebGL should work regardless of OS and GPU

What went wrong?
The GPU is crashing.  See attached chrome://gpu output

Did this work before? Yes 

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 63.0.3239.84  Channel: beta
OS Version: OS X 10.13.2
Flash Version: 

It seems probable that this is a regression in Apple's display drivers.  However, if a work-around can be found at the browser level, that would be useful.

Please provide any crash IDs from about:crashes .

It seems clear there are still regressions in the High Sierra driver for NVIDIA GPUs but it's unlikely that we will be able to find workarounds for them.

Sorry, I tried for several minutes to reproduce this on macOS 10.13.3 Beta (17D25b) and can't. If you can come up with a more reliable repro case that also crashes on the Beta release then please provide it here and I'll help you file a Radar.
