Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.94 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. G Suite -> Device Management -> Chrome -> User Settings -> User Experience 2. There is the option for only one folder with multiple links 3. What is the expected behavior? Desired: The ability to deploy multiple folders, with sub-folders, to new & existing users through the G Suite panel. What went wrong? Current: You are only able to deploy one parent folder with no subfolders. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 62.0.3202.94 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: This is a Feature Request, you can find the original article here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome-admins/G3LSMlomFT0;context-place=topicsearchin/chrome-admins/multiple The admin advised creating a Feature Request bug.

This is a request for the Admin Panel. Chrome already supports arbitrary folder hierarchies in the policy so it is only a matter of implementing UI to define those.

Bumping to keep this open, it would be a great feature to have as we can then use G Suite to manage our company bookmarks. As it is, this feature is not fit for purpose.

I'll keep this open since it seems kenlin@ is out for the holidays. I'll try to check back in in the new year to see if there is any update.

As suggested reassigning to maxkirsch@.

Since there's no work left in Chromium I'm going to close this bug. Acknowledged that the admin console does not yet support nested bookmarks and this is something we plan to add, although given the relatively small # of requests for this compared to other policies, it may not happen for a while. |
