Acer CB15 C910 - ChromeOS Wifi Dropping with Verizon Actiontec MI424WR-GEN3I

Reported by ian.m.ro...@gmail.com, Dec 20 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version : 63.0.3239.86
OS Version: 10032.71.1
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using Chromebook, wifi signal drops and wifi icon goes grey indicating no wifi connection
2. Wait approximately 1 minute for wifi to reconnect on its own. Alternatively, opening wifi connection settings seems to kickstart the connection again almost immediately.
3. Unable to "reproduce" except by waiting anywhere from 3-10 minutes for the next drop

What is the expected result?
Wifi should not be dropping. Have owned this Chromebook and router combination for over 2 years without issue.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Originally I was on beta channel. I have since returned to Stable channel, powerwashed, then did a full USB restore of the OS, AND performed a factory reset on the router. Within minutes, the wifi connection resumed dropping again.

In crosh I have captured a dmesg report taken DURING a wifi disconnect to see if this can be of use, and attached the file.
