Regression:Able to translate the page even if it's manually crash.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 65.0.3298.3 (Official Build) Revision 488e9f197ba6acea68d7732e73b0aa3eff7c0bb6-refs/branch-heads/3298@{#6} (32/64-bit) OS: Windows(7,8,10), Liunx(14.1LTS) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome and navigate to https://play.google.com/store?hl=en (2)Right click on page and select 'Translate' option such that bubble appears. (3)Kill the page manually using chrome://kill > click on bubble > more options > select any translation language e.g Chinese > click on translate button. (4)Reload the page right click and observe. Actual: Able to translate the page even if it's manually crash. Expected: Should not allow to translate the page if it's manually crash. This is a regression issue broken in 'M65' and below is the manual info Good Build: 64.0.3282.32 Bad Build: 65.0.32983.0 Note: Issue is not seen on Mac OS.

Hmm... this is an odd one. I don't think the translate dialog should be shown on the crashed-tab page at all. But that's not what regressed. In the case where it does show, it seems like it should remember your settings for when the page is refreshed. So I'm going to say this is an acceptable change. |
