Flaky WebClipboardImplTest.ImageCopy timeout in renderer_side_navigation_content_browsertests |
|
Issue descriptionhttps://ci.chromium.org/buildbot/tryserver.chromium.linux/linux_chromium_rel_ng/611429 https://chromium-swarm.appspot.com/task?id=3a85cecbaac4f210&refresh=10&show_raw=1 This and multiple other tests (22 in total) failed flakily. This one happened to fail three retries. Mine seems to be the only unlucky tryjob which hit this. However, looking at the shard of regular content_browsertests: https://chromium-swarm.appspot.com/task?id=3a85cec5d6b1a410&refresh=10&show_raw=1 it's clear that many tests are crashing or timing out the first time through even with the new navigation path (probably unrelated to navigation), and it's only the three retries that are allowing content_browsertests to remain green. Regardless, it looks like the renderer-side navigation code has bit-rotted heavily. Is it time to stop running the renderer-side navigation tests?

Yes, the renderer-side navigation code is getting neglected and we can finally remove it now. There is a CL to remove it from the bots, which hopefully will land today - https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/772231.

Re #1: Many of our test binaries now only pass w/ retries, AFAICT; I think the one I reported was webkit_unit_tests. Thanks for the heads-up about this one, and thanks nasko@ and team for the "quick fix". ;) |
