Replace C:\Program Files %\Google\Chrome\Application\master _preferences file with modified one What is the expected behavior? Master_preferences should delegate settings to all users profiles and create file Preferences What went wrong? Changes (e.g default web page) are not working because user profile file Preferences was not created Did this work before? We just recently moved our Windows 2008 R2 Citrix XenDesktop hosts to Chrome 64 bit. We are running Chrome 63.0.3239.108. The master_preferences file is not working and it was working before we switched from the 32 bit version. The master_preferences file is listed below, but note that we have tried a dozen different configurations of the master_preferences and they have all been equally ignored.

Hi. Could you confirm the exact location of the file? Just to be sure, the file only influences new Chrome users (those that do not already have a "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data" directory).

Hi, sorry for the late answer, but we were still investigating it and we find that we had syntax error in our master_preferences file, so now I can say it's working for us.
