Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.108 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: (1) new INCOGNITO tab (2) go to https://www.chromestatus.com/features (3) F12 and go to Application > Clear Storage section (4) note the red Cache Storage value (5) hit F5, repeatedly, noting the Cache Storage value What is the expected behavior? Cache Storage stays the same with each F5 refresh What went wrong? Instead, Cache Storage keeps rising with each F5. This doesn't happen in a NON incognito window. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 63.0.3239.108 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: This may be related to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=795134 See e.g. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=795134#c12

Cannot repro. It raises only on seconds refresh but then stays stable at 2.7MB.

It's odd. I can no longer repro either but it was definitely happening before. I have since found that if I add some Google Analytics tracking code to the html, then the cache storage value does again rise dramatically with each F5 .. is that expected?

Have you already configured Google Analytics to use navigator.sendBeacon ? If not, try that first please: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=796060#c29

Yes, I have already done that. And I can no longer reproduce this issue anyway. |
