There is serious compromising on mine and wife's phones, and Google Apps, Chrome and Play specifically, are tainted.

Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Allow Google Play to update. What is the expected behavior? Immediately, mirrors create fraudulent versions of Google Apps all complete with deceptive returns from searches. This includes actual Apps and websites. What went wrong? I am desperate and relatively unware of the lingo needed to articulate the issue further. It is best said that a virus and/or hacker is using the Google interface to mask this abuse. Please see the bug report and such. Help! Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.0.1 Flash Version: We are at the end of or rope.

Yes, thank you for the quick response. Google Chrome has updated and it seems to offer a more dependable interface. My wife's phone has now been Google Locked for about 5 days. Nothing is getting through the barrier, but calls from Google for number codes come in. We tried to use my phone to unlock her Google account, Google reports all is seemingly in order... This is not so. There is no options in the security & devices menu where we can disconnect, or unsync, the phone. My computer just came back from the repair guys at Palafox Computers. They actually did nothing and the attendant told me he would rather deal with our issues (CPU & phones) in private. We have gone down a very sketchy rabbit hole. You should see the apps working day and night on our firewalls. Google Play will now download from Chrome itself which initiallt eliminates the deceptive Play Apps. Oh, and it seems that my phone has finally registered with Google Play!

Sure. Things are so bad now, and it is just far too much for us to articulate. I called Google and they told me it is on my carrier's end. My carrier insists that Google is at fault. I have opted to flash the phone on my own and hope for the best. Whatever it takes to get this guy put of our hard drives. I did learn quite a bit about Linux in general. Here is one of the latest big files. Please let me know what you think. Thanks again.
