"Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 63.0.3239.84 and on the latest dev 65.0.3294.5 using Ubuntu 14.04 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Opened several tabs 3. Closed all the opened tabs 4. Checked the task manager in chrome. We observed the memory consumption was lowered. Attaching the screen cast of the same. @Reporter: Could you please check the screen cast and let us know whether we have missed any steps in reproducing the issue. It would be highly helpful if OS platform is mentioned where the issue is seen. Thanks!"
