Project Member Reported by eugene...@chromium.org, Dec 12 2017

Issue description

App Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): 62.0.3202.84
Android version: 8.1
Device: Pixel 2

Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open a blank incognito tab
2.) Tap on tab switcher button
3.) Tap on Tab card to exit from TabSwitcher

Observed behavior:
At the end of the animation Incognito text shakes

Expected behavior:
Existing should be smooth

Additional comments:
I made a video to demo steps to reproduce. Unfortunately I could not capture the actual shake very well, because my camera changes the focus. Please ping me personally if you want me to demo the bug.

I think this is likely due to the snapshot we grab of the web page. +rlandy@ - previously I would have cc'ed aelias@.. are there any experts in this area we should cc.

+mdjones@ since this is tab switcher related.
This has to do with the compression we perform on the thumbnails. This appears to be the current iteration of the size/quality trade-off.
On second look, it seems like the dimensions of the thumbnail might be slightly off. In the cases I tried on my phone, the thumbnail seems like it might be a few pixels too large in both width and height, though this could just be a result of the compression. I'll give it a shot and report back.
I previously investigated this issue but gave up on trying to fix it since it seemed rather involved:

Maybe it makes more sense to you?

That looks like exactly this issue! The other issue has Restrict-View-Google, while this bug is public facing so assigning to cblume@ (as the owner of the other issue) rather than marking this as a duplicate.
