Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.84 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to https://codepen.io/anon/pen/JMjePa 2. Inspect the Chrome Developer Tools 3. What is the expected behavior? CSS file should load only once What went wrong? Get a warning: The resource https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,400i,700,700i&subset=greek,greek-ext,latin-ext was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window's load event. Please make sure it wasn't preloaded for nothing. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 63.0.3239.84 Channel: canary OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: Seems like an issue with the function. Using onload="this.rel='stylesheet'" doesn't give the error.

I believe you need to use the same CORS state for the non-preloaded request, like: https://codepen.io/anon/pen/JMoboW (else the request needs to be reissued because of different credentials et.c)

"Able to reproduce the issue on the reported chrome version 63.0.3239.84 and on the latest canary 65.0.3292.0 using Windows 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.1. Bisect Info: ========= Good Build: 55.0.2867.0 Bad Build: 55.0.2868.0 We are unable to provide per-revision-bisect as we are getting ""Missing file error"", Hence providing chromium bisect. You are probably looking for a change made after 420010 (known good), but no later than 420021 (first known bad). CHANGELOG URL: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/ec3b2760c702a5d913a2621e9f22205e74e33622..cb8045c8f3889b84f3d36e3280763018328a5f17 Suspecting: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/4fcc2d6bfddd9592403148e752620a987d1c15ae Review-Url: https://codereview.chromium.org/2343623002 Suspecting same from changelog. @yoav@yoav.ws: Please confirm the issue and help in re-assiging if it is not related to your change. Thanks!"

Hi, I think comment 2 works. So I think this is not an issue.
