[macOS] Regression: When selecting "About Google Chrome" in the Menu Bar, multiple tabs are being created

Issue description

Chrome Version: 65.0.3292.0 canary (64-Bit)
OS: macOS 10.12.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?

(1) Select Menu Bar > About Google Chrome
Result: Two tabs are being created.
Expected: Only one tab should be created.


(2) Close the window and now select Menu Bar > About Google Chrome
Result: Three tabs are being created.
Expected: Only one tab should be created.

This is a recent regression.

Very strange... I can't reproduce it any longer in the same build after quitting and relaunching Canary.

I leave it open in case that someone can reproduce too. Otherwise feel free to close this report.
