[MD Bookmarks] gFeedback Prestable - No horizontal scrollbar in bookmark folder tree |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 63.0.3239.70 OS: MacOS X 10_12_5 User feedback The folders are spaced widely and take up too much vertical space. There is no longer a horizontal scroll on the Bookmarks folder tree, so with nested folders, your only option to see them is to drag the folder sidebar very wide. http://feedback/#/Report/84747575383

Thanks for file and able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10, Mac 10.12.6 & Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome version 63.0.3239.84. Issue is observed from build 57.0.2969.0 from where the MD book mark manager was introduced. Note: On previous builds ellipses are not displayed, the navigation tree is stretched till the length of the folder name provided. Tagged with Material design WEBUI label, so that the issue gets addressed. Thanks.!

I'm calling this a Regression, as it did work fine in the previous bookmark manager.

This is WAI. As mentioned in the report, a workaround for most cases is that the sidebar is resizeable (if the window is big enough). Extreme folder nesting is discouraged. If there are more reports, we'll look into the folder tree padding.
