"Thanks for filing the issue!

We tried adding an slack extension to chrome from webstore on the latest chrome stable 63.0.3239.84 using mac 10.13.1, but we were unable to find the exact extension to check.
Though we tried checking by highlighting some text on a web page and searched with 'Search With Google' by right clicking mouse.

We were able to navigate to the proper searched text without any javascript before page loading.

@Reporter: Could you please mention the chrome version in which the issue is seen along with the slack related file/URL which helps us to triage the issue in a better way."

Hi there!

My apologies, I should have clarified that this issue occurs when you are using the desktop version of Slack. So the steps to repro:

1.) Open up Slack on desktop (I'm using Slack version 3.0.0)
2.) Highlight a bit of text anywhere inside of Slack
3.) Right-click and select "Search with Google"
4.) This action will bring up a new tab in your browser window. For me, this opens a new tab in Chrome (I'm using Version 59.0.3071.115)

There will be a split second of javascript before the page renders.
