Install a local web server without SSL configuration (e.g. nginx) and set up a local using ".app" tld with hosts file (e.g. home.app) 2. Open url What is the expected behavior? Opening url without SSL redirection What went wrong? Google Chrome in last version forcing local tld ".app" to SSL white it doesnt force for example ".epp" or simple domain of "localhost" Did this work before? Yes 62.0.3202.94 Chrome version: 63.0.3239.84 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: i used local ".app" tld for a long time in my web development. Suddenly it stops working. I dont think its expected behavior.

This is working as intended, starting in 63, '.app' was added to the preload HSTS list, meaning that connections to domains in that TLD will be required to use HTTPS. For local development, you should be using a domain you own or a reserved TLD (eg .test). |
