Chrome Version: 63.0.3239.70
OS: Chrome
If the client device is suspended while a Remote Desktop session is open, and the session is later closed after waking the device, then the next time the client attempts to connect to the same remote, it hangs forever at the Connecting... screen.
From a Chromebook:
1. Connect to some machine in "My Computers" via Chrome Remote Desktop
2. Put the device to sleep (the local device, ie the Chromebook, not the remote!)
3. Wake the device
4. Close the Remote Desktop session window
5. Open the Remote Desktop app
6. Try connecting to the same machine
The app sits at the "Connecting..." screen for ages. Upon clicking Cancel, I get the "Your Chrome Remote Desktop session has ended." dialog with an option to reconnect. That works (it connects after ~10 seconds, which seems like a lot since both devices are on Google's network, but whatever).
So the workaround I always use is:
1. Close all instances of Remote Desktop
2. Open Remote Desktop
3. Click the machine I want to connect to
4. Click Cancel
5. Click Reconnect
which seems a little silly.
I can provide JS logs but they contain Google-internal info.
