Update MIME type parser |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionI've filed a couple other bugs on more specific changes you might want to make sooner, but overall I think you want to change you parser more significantly to align with https://mimesniff.spec.whatwg.org/#parsing-a-mime-type Ideally it's reusable so it can be used for implementing various JavaScript APIs. https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/pull/7764 has tests.

I think yhirano@ is our best bet as he's been actively involved in the discussion about how the spec updates will relate to Chrome's implementation.

Thank you. I will assign to yhirano@ so this is off triager's queue.

Note that https://github.com/whatwg/mimesniff/pull/79 proposes to make a small tweak to the parser and serializer. Let me know if you'd prefer a separate bug.

Hi mmenke, no worries, that may actually work out better for me as I concentrate on XHR patches that rely on this MiME type parser. |
