When the AP was diagnosed it did not have any problems with its physical connections(e.g. wan port and rpm cable). While diagnosing the AP no issues were faced except that the AP did not connect to the Internet. AP turns on and is now pingable. pjay@pjay:~$ ping chromeos3-row3-rack4-host4.cros.corp.google.com PING chromeos3-row3-rack4-host4.cros.corp.google.com (172.22.38.238) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 172.22.38.238: icmp_seq=1 ttl=56 time=32.3 ms 64 bytes from 172.22.38.238: icmp_seq=2 ttl=56 time=2.93 ms 64 bytes from 172.22.38.238: icmp_seq=3 ttl=56 time=2.81 ms 64 bytes from 172.22.38.238: icmp_seq=4 ttl=56 time=2.92 ms 64 bytes from 172.22.38.238: icmp_seq=5 ttl=56 time=2.77 ms ^C --- chromeos3-row3-rack4-host4.cros.corp.google.com ping statistics --- 5 packets transmitted, 5 received, 0% packet loss, time 4005ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 2.770/8.760/32.366/11.803 ms AP broadcasts a ssid and machine is able to connect to the AP and reach the Internet. It had issues connecting domain names (e.g.- www.facebook.com) this is resolved by pointing the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 Attaching log files of below procedure carried out to analyse the AP - 1. scanning the ssid with model name on wlan0. 2. connecting to the ssid and verifying the current used network. 3. pinging 8.8.8.8 4. pinging www.facebook.com |
