Omnibar goes blank on Chrome Canary after you tap on enter key

Project Member Reported by ijpedowitz@google.com, Dec 6 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: 65.0.3286.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)
OS: Mac OS X 10.12.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open a new window
(2) Type a URL in the omnibar
(3) Tap on enter key

What is the expected result? Omnibar doesn't go blank after tapping enter

What happens instead? After tapping on enter, the Omnibar goes blank, then a second later the content restores. This doesn't happen on Chrome Stable, was introduced on Canary recently.

ijpedowitz@: Is this on the NTP?

If yes, then this is probably a dupe of issue 792401 and should be fixed in one of next Canary Builds.
What is NTP? How can I tell if I am on that?
Sorry, with NTP I mean the New Tab Page.

Can you please attach a video of the issue that you are seeing? Thanks.
How do I know if I am using the New Tab Page? What is the best way to capture a video from Mac OS X? Sorry for all the questions, I tend to file bugs on mobile, not desktop. This is 100% reproducible for me.

Easiest way to capture on Mac is with QuickTime Player; File -> New Screen Recording.

But it's probably easier for you to look at the video on https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=792401 . If that's what you're seeing, this is the same issue.

From the description, these do sound the same, so I'll dedupe. But just comment if you think it's different, or you still see it after updating the Canary.

Oh! Awesome! Thank you!

Yeah, just watched the video, they look the same. Will reopen if this reproduces after the next Canary update
