"Unable to reproduce the issue on the reported chrome version 64.0.3282.8 and on the latest canary 65.0.3285.0 using Windows 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.1 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Opened Chrome
2. Navigated to www.gmail.com
3. Entered the credentials
4. Saved the input values
5. Closed the chrome and Relaunched it again
We observed the credentials got saved even after relaunching the chrome. Attaching the screen cast of the same.

@reporter: Could you please check the screen cast and let us know if we have missed any steps in reproducing the issue. Could you please check the issue by saving the credentials in a new profile and let us know the behavior.

Thanks!"

Agreed. gmail, yahoo, etc. The browser no longer holds log in credentials. Any time I close the browser I have to log in to gmail (etc.) even though the tab was left open. This is not the case on prod right now. I do NOT have Chrome set to save the log in credentials.

Yes, it saves the autofill data, the problem is taht it loses the site log in whenever the browser is closed. You have to relog into every site every time the browser is closed.

It is happening on Chromium (For several weeks) and Chrome Canary (For a week now). It does not affect Dev channel or Release.

I have Chrome setting "On Startup" set to "Continue where you left off." I always have my gmail open in a tab. If I close the browser and reopen I am not logged in to any of my mail applications. This issue is only occurring for me in dev.
Any update? This is getting annoying.
This is fixed.
