After Chromium update (60.0.3112.113) 11/30/17, Browser fails to launch

Issue description

Chrome Version (from the about:version page):  Chromium-Browser l1on
Is this the most recent version: yes.
OS + version: Linus Mint 17.3
CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit.
Window manager: Cinnanon?
URLs (if relevant):
Behavior in Linux Firefox:  Firefox appears normal. 
Behavior in Windows Chrome (if you have access to it): Fresh installation of Chrome won't launch either. 

failsat steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Can't reproduce this problem, because it has not be solved in the first place.

What is the expected result? Unknown. I have been unsuccessful in finding assistance in the local community or on-line. 


What happens instead?

"We are unable to reproduce the issue while upgrading the chrome from version 60.0.3112.113 to version 62.0.3202.94 on Ubuntu 14.04. 

@Reporter: Could you please share the error you are getting while upgrading. Any further inputs from your end helps us to triage the issue in a better way.
