Google Sheets perpetually says "Still loading" in Chrome Canary but not Chrome Beta

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.70 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
(Private company google sheet)

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Opened several Google Sheets in Canary, one at a time
2. Observed that they all say "Still loading..." and never stop
3. Fin

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Google Sheets is inaccessible for me in Chrome Canary.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version:  64.0.3282.5  Channel: canary
OS Version: OS X 10.12.6
Flash Version: 

From the Google Docs Help Forum, I tried seveeral steps from this article and nothing worked but reverting to Google Chrome Beta: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/docs/XBF6FbDxGjs
Tried steps 2. 3, 4, 6, others were too invasive or time-consuming.

Reproduced on Windows 7 (64.0.3282.6 (Official Build) canary).
DevTools shows a console error:
Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'strict-dynamic' 'unsafe-eval' 'unsafe-inline' https: 'nonce-NggSKM+xnhTQwTwSCJ1MbnrflMY'". Note that 'unsafe-inline' is ignored if either a hash or nonce value is present in the source list.

Looks like this is a Chromium bug caused by  Issue 790955 .
