omnibox autocomplete removes autocomplete text after selecting suggestion

Application Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): 62.0.3202.84
Android Build Number (from "Android Settings > About Phone/Tablet"): Android 8.1.0; gobo build/OMB1.71110.001
Device: Android Go, Pixel

Steps to reproduce: 
1) Type 'pinnacles nati'
2) find 'pinnacles national park' in suggestions, and touch the arrow. It shows up in search bar, and the continued suggestion shows up, as 'pinnacles national park campground'
3) ‎continue to type ' climate'

Observed behavior: 
, at the letter L typing, my previous suggestion selection of 'pinnacles national park' is removed, and search bar shows 'pinnacles naticl'

Expected behavior: 
'pinnacles national park' should not be removed, and 'l' should be appended at the end.

Frequency: 
10/10

In b/69790692, askatte@ verified that this is reproducible on m58 as well as on m63 with spannable-inline-autocomplete flag OFF.

Therefore, I think this will be fixed when  issue 539536  will be launched. Marking this as blocked, and will mark as fixed for now.
